Do the right thing and the right thing will happen!
I learned that many years ago from my mentor and spiritual father Ed Conover. In times of hardship it was tempting to find ways to be creative with money, or even with people to get them to do things I needed that would benefit me.
But Ed would always encourage me, that even in the midst of hardship, I must choose to do the right thing and God will see to it that the right things will happen.
When I was in the mortgage business, I did a loan for a client in which there was an opportunity for me to charge a customary and reasonable loan origination fee. Because we were in relationship with this family through our church, I felt led to give them a discount on their loan. Not neglecting my worth, as I was still making money on the transaction, I just felt led to give my brother in Christ a break on his fees.
This also just so happened to be at the time we were losing our home, and believe me; the extra income would have helped us. Because we started mediating on Hebrews 11:6, I felt led to follow my heart and not be motivated by my circumstances.
“But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].” ~ Hebrews 11:6 (AMPC)
Regardless of our circumstances, I chose to look to God as my rewarder instead of my own human efforts to provide for my family.
Shortly after closing on that deal, when the client learned of our personal financial situation and realized that I had given them a break on their transaction regardless of our circumstances, they felt led by God to bless us with a $2,000 love offering.
All I could think about at that moment was: “do the right thing and the right things will happen.” When we choose to do what is right in the sight of God and not man or even our own needs and desires, God will reward us. He will not only reward us, but he will do supernaturally, far above and abundantly all that we could ever ask, think, desire or even pray for.
No matter where you find yourself today, purpose to do what is right. Choose to honor God in all that you do and watch how He honors you.

That was awesome! Very encouraging. Thanks for sharing your heart!
Praise God, thank you for your feedback.
Thank you for this word. It was just what I needed. May God continue to bless you so that you may continue to bless others.
Thank you April for the encouragement. It’s always the right time to do what is right, we just need to be reminded. And hopefully this blog helps encourage yourself and others to follow God’s leading in everything. May God continue to give you wisdom for the days ahead. ~Blessings
